Meter Exchange Project
The scope of the work we undertake for Anglian Water on this contract is to exchange 110,000 meters by 2010. The majority of meters are situated externally. The target for 2008/09 is for H2O to exchange in the region of 3900 internal and 24,000 external meters.
The work is planned from our Rushden office/depot and dispatched to the fitters via a mobile solution, either a Kyman hand held or a PDA. Feedback is also via the same medium. Meter serial numbers are recorded using an integral bar code reader.
In addition to exchanging the meters we ensure the existing pad readers on internal installations are working correctly and replace and calibrate the wiring and pads where required.
The contract was awarded in January 2006 and runs till 2010.
