To provide the services to our clients we need the support of business systems to help manage the making of appointments, work feedback, including meter serial numbers and the collation and return of critical data in a timely manner such as meter readings.
We have developed a range of flexible and bespoke software solutions to enable us to manage different categories of work ranging from service connections to meter installations and meter readings. All of these are capable of interfacing with Client systems to provide timely and accurate transmission of data and reduced resource requirements.
The provision and support to our business system needs is provided by our Group IT&T team of hardware and software specialists, who know the utility industry.
JTE (Job Track Enterprise)
Our latest development JTE (Job Track Enterprise) will lay at the heart of our job management capabilities in the future. A corporate system, the first phase of development is for the management of all categories of meter installations, from exchanges to new installs.
It is designed to receive files direct from the Clients’ Customer and/or Billing systems and return live data between both systems during the life of the job. It has WEB access for the Client so they can view the status of the work and deal with any customer enquiry. The Client can also make direct appointments to pre-determined slots.
It has been developed with the user in mind and has excellent search capabilities that makes dealing with customer enquiries very easy and helps the overall ‘Customer Experience’.
Finance Systems – Focal Point – Dimensions
JTE has been designed to interface directly with our new Financial Management System – Focal Point – Dimensions. This is a Group wide system, which enables costing data from JTE to be stored and analysed more easily and specifically facilitates individual job or project costing pulling cost data across a range of trades.
A unique feature of the JTE - Focal Point interface is the link to our resource and training/competence database. This ensures that only competent resources receive appropriate categories of work. This drives in the right safety behaviours and improves quality and productivity.
BMS – our Business Management System
H2O Water Services has accreditations covering Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental Management Systems. At the core of these is the Group’s Business Management System (BMS), which is the repository of all key documents including procedures, method statements, and risk assessments.
It is an online system ensuring that the most up to date information is available to employees at any time and place.
Our business specialists’ work together across the Group’s businesses to ensure that best practice can be shared; BMS provides a vital portal for the sharing of this information.
